UNO Attack Rules

To play UNO Attack, you match cards by either the color, symbol, or action of each card in your hand with the top card on the drawn pile. Players compete against each other to be the first to discard all their cards and empty their hands to win the game. The first person to empty their hands first wins the round, and the person with the lowest points when the game reaches 500 points wins.

To play UNO Attack, you match cards by either the color, symbol, or action of each card in your hand with the top card on the drawn pile.

UNO Attack Cards Meaning

The cards in the UNO attack play the same as in Classic UNO, but with the random shooting suspense of the card launcher as well. The game also introduces additional cards like Wild Hit Fire, Wild All Hit, Hit 2, and Trade Hands. Each card play action is given below, one by one.

Number Cards

The number cards contain 0 to 9 numbers on them and can be played by matching either the number or color of the card.

Reverse Card

The dealer plays first, the game play reverses the direction, and the play then goes to the right instead of the left.

Skip Card

The player to the left of the dealer cannot play his turn; he got skipped. The player to the left of the skipped player precedes it.

Wild Card

The player to the left of the dealer decides the color, and then puts it down.

Hit 2 Card

The player to the left of the dealer must press the launch button twice. Then, play begins with the next player taking the turn.

Trade Hands Card

This card can let you trade your cards, and it’ll also put them back in the deck so you can choose another one.

Discard All Card

The player to the left of the dealer leads the play with a card of the same color or another Discard All card from their hand. The person playing the cards can discard all his cards and if that’s not possible, they must hit the Launcher button.

Wild All Hit Card

Every single player must press the Launcher button once, beginning with the person to the dealer’s left. If the launcher doesn’t shoot out any cards, play continues with the player to the left. Add each of the cards that shoot out to the player’s hands after activating the launcher.

Wild Hit-Fire Card

This card only lets the player to the dealer’s left press the launcher button until the cards shoot out. The player who activates adds the cards that were launched to their hand. Then, the next player to their left starts playing.

How to Play UNO Attack

UNO Attack is a variation of the classic UNO that comes with a mechanical card launcher to enable random card shooting. The game uses a button on the launcher to draw cards, rather than pulling them from the deck.

Set Up

To set up the UNO Attack game, select a dealer, who will shuffle the deck and deal seven cards to each player. Place one card from the deck on the playing area to start the discard pile. Load the remaining cards into the card launcher and turn it on. Ensure the launcher faces the player whose turn it is.

Dealing

The dealer shuffles the deck and deals seven cards to each player, while also starting the discard pile with one card. Place one card from the deck on the playing area to begin the discard pile, then place the remaining cards into the card launcher. Turn on the card launcher and rotate it so it always faces the player whose turn it is.

Starting the Game

The first player to the left of the dealer starts the game. The player takes the card from the launcher and matches it with the top card face down in the remaining card pile, either by its color number or action on it. The aim is to be the first to empty your hand while taking random cards from the card launcher.

Taking Turns

Players take turns matching the card on top of the discard pile by color, number, or word with the cards in their hands. If a player is unable to make a match, they must press the button on the card launcher to see if any cards shoot out, and if they do, the play proceeds; otherwise, press the button again.

Going Out

When a player has one remaining card, they are required to yell “UNO” to indicate they are playing their last card. If they did not yell and play a card and another player caught him doing so, it may result in penalties. The round ends when a player has run out of cards, and points are added up to decide the final winner after reaching 500 points.

Challenging

Players can challenge each other if they suspect an opponent has failed to yell “UNO” when down to one card. If the challenged player is caught without saying “UNO,” they must press the Launcher button twice as a penalty and get those cards from it.

Scoring and Points

After a round ends, points are allocated based on the cards remaining in the remaining players’ hands. The winner will take all the players’ cards and count their points to add to his total.

UNO Attack Cards Points

  • All cards from 0 to 9 contain Face Value
  • Reverse card contains 20 Points
  • Skip card contains 20 Points
  • Hit 2 cards contain 20 Points
  • Wild Hit 4 cards contain 40 Points
  • Discard All contains 30 Points
  • Wild cards contain 50 Points

Winning and the Next Round

The game continues with new rounds, and the first player with the highest score of 500 points at the end of the rounds is declared the winner. Alternatively, the game may be scored by keeping track of how many points each player gets at the end of each hand. When one player reaches 500 points, the player with the fewest points wins the game.
